After some time soaking up the history here, you’ll head to Elephantine Island where you’ll see Nubian villages and soak up more history thanks to the variety of archaeological sites here. This morning you visit Aswan High Dam and the Philae Temple complex, which was painstakingly recreated on a new site after it's original site was deluged by Lake Nasser.

This evening you can socialise with your fellow guests on board, or enjoy the night sky from the ship’s Sun Deck. This temple is particularly unusual as it is dedicated to two gods, Haroeris and Sobek. Today you cruise to Kom Ombo, where Kom Ombo Temple – one of the most spectacular temples in Egypt is located. You’ll arrive in Edfu where you’ll moor overnight. The scenery along the Nile varies between rural beauty and ancient architecture, so be sure to keep your camera handy. Sit back and admire the passing scenery as your ship heads to Edfu at noon. Spend the afternoon at leisure on board your ship, and this evening perhaps join an optional sound and light show. There will be an included visit to Luxor’s west bank this morning – home to the Valley of the Kings, where an incredible 62 tombs of the Pharaohs have been unearthed. Transfer from your hotel to the elegant MS Nile Odyssey 4⚓, one of Presidential Nile Cruises fleet of ships, and your home for the next four nights as you cruise the Nile. This afternoon there will be an included tour to the temples of Karnak, an incredible site comprising three main temples and seven smaller ones, which is believed to cover the entire site of the ancient city of Thebes. B, L, DĪfter breakfast, travel to the airport for your morning flight to Luxor and transfer to the locally rated 3-star Pyramisa Isis Luxor (4Q), where you stay overnight. Spend the day at your leisure, perhaps joining an optional morning tour to The Grand Egyptian Museum. It is thought to be one of the largest, oldest and best preserved example of an Antiquity-age vessel, and this solar barge is believed to have been used as either a ritual vessel to carry the resurrected king across the heavens, or as a funeral barge to carry the embalmed king to Giza. You’ll also visit the Khufu Ship, an ancient solar boat which was discovered in a pit in the Giza pyramid complex and carefully reconstructed. Today the site is home to numerous mosques and palaces that dominate the city’s skyline and illustrate how it has evolved throughout history. DĪn included city tour this morning reveals some of Cairo’s highlights, including the city’s fascinating Citadel, which was home to Egypt’s rulers for seven centuries after its creation in the 12th century.
